For the time being, it’s still possible to transfer up to 1,800 (!) domains at just $5.55 but as they’ve been mentioning for a couple of weeks, that deal will be going away on December 1. Understandable, given the fact that nobody has ever offered something like this for extended periods of time. Again, and I’ve been doing this for MANY years: steep discounts on transfers like this deal existing for extended periods of time is unprecedented.
The new transfer price will be $7.99, which will still make them the most competitive player on the transfer front.
If you want to take advantage of the 1,800-domain thing, I’d recommend doing so as soon as possible because while 360 transfers are available without KYC, you’ll need that verification if you want to bring in more than 360 names.
And speaking of caps, the 360-domain cap I’ve mention will become 100 after the price increase.
When it comes to $5 domain regs, the price of those will go up to $5.99. Prices which, as usual, will be available to everyone on Fridays and for Domainer Club members each day (contact them if you are a serious domainer and they will hook you up with said Domainer Club membership).
Finally, as Brady mentioned on X, prices will once again go up again after a few more months.
Very reasonable price increases.
Even after the hikes, Unstoppable will be losing money on each domain registration or transfer people get. Remember that the wholesale cost (so what registrars themselves pay) of a dot com name is $10.26, plus an ICANN fee which went from $0.18 to $0.2 in July. S10.46 just from that. Plus processing costs. Plus hosting/infrastructure costs. Plus employee costs and everything else that’s needed to keep the lights on.
So… yeah, that’s why it’s unprecedented.
Domainers need to avoid being selfish and not take these deals for granted. If a company helps you save this much money and you don’t support them, there’s no hope for you in this industry IMO.
And a lot of times, it costs you nothing to be a good person and support.
For example, if Unstoppable helped you save a ton of money and you’re glad they exist: have you voted for them over at the NamePros registrar of the year thread? If not, you can click HERE to vote, it literally takes seconds.
The same way, if you come across a post about them on social media, are you interacting with it to boost their exposure or at least hitting the like button? Again, this only takes seconds.
IMO, the future of this business will depend in no small part on our willingness to support ambitious newcomers. Unless we want to die a slow death by the good ol’ monopoly choke, if you know what I mean!
