Two interesting updates for NamePros landers have been recently implemented, will be playing around with them myself, especially since one of them has been requested by people given the fact that it makes domain verification more convenient.
The feature in question is being allowed to replace the randomly generated nameserver you have with something customized.
So for example, you can switch from something random like ns2.fsd67f8d6s78f6ds78f6ds78.ns.namepros-dns.is to something memorable like ns2.andrei.ns.namepros-dns.is which is quite convenient for those of us with large portfolios, who add new names on a daily or at least regular basis.
Right now, I have a txt file on my laptop from which I copy/paste the nameservers whenever I add new domains to my portfolio and that’s usually fine, except that I sometimes find myself having to do this on my phone (because I had forgotten to do it on the laptop, for example) and it’s less convenient without my file. I mean sure, I could log into NamePros and copy/paste from there or perform a whois search on one of my domains and use that, but it’s kind of cool to have something you can just memorize and not have to go through any hassle.
But here is a WARNING: you will no longer be able to use the old nameserver for new domains after changing it, nor will you be able to switch back. So just keep things in mind before making the change!
To change your nameserver to something custom, simply visit:

Another interesting update is the fact that you can now auto-add domains to your account if you want to.
In other words, domains that are using the verification key of your account (for example using their nameservers, which is what I do) can be automatically added to your account if you enable this feature.
And you can do so by visiting:

That’s it for now.
There is a lot of stuff I really need to play around with for my NamePros landers, hopefully February will be a less hectic month than January has been and I get a chance to do just that.
Have a good month and be careful out there, markets are volatile these days!
