NamePros landers just got a very real upgrade, and it’s the kind of update domain sellers actually feel in the checkout flow IMO.
The newest improvements are all about giving buyers more ways to move forward, while giving sellers more control over how the transaction happens.
First of all, NamePros has expanded payment flexibility in quite a big way. For direct checkout, buyers can now move ahead immediately using options such as Escrow.com, PayPal.com, AtomPay, Wise and even external sales paths tied to platforms like GoDaddy, Sedo, Dynadot, Namecheap, Spaceship, Gname, NameSilo and Unstoppable Domains. That means a NamePros lander is no longer just a “contact me” page but is becoming a much more versatile sales gateway.
And for sellers who prefer a more hands-on approach, the assisted checkout options are just as interesting in my view. Buyers can still start the process through methods like email, bank transfer, AtomPay, GoDaddy, Sedo, Dynadot, Spaceship, Unstoppable Domains… or a general “Discuss payment options” route.
In other words, NamePros is not forcing one style of selling but rather supporting both instant checkout and negotiated deals, which is exactly how many domain investors operate in the real world.
The other standout improvement is the updated Buy Now checkout display.
Previously, some of the “pay upon request” methods relied on mailto: links.
Functional? Yes.
Elegant? Not exactly.
The new version replaces that with a native NamePros web form, which creates a smoother, more intuitive, and more reliable buyer experience. That may sound like a small UI tweak but in domain sales, fewer awkward steps can mean fewer lost buyers.
Even better, sellers can now fine-tune the checkout screen by adding or removing individual buttons. That’s a smart move. Some sellers want a clean, minimal checkout page. Others want to give buyers every possible path to say yes. NamePros now makes room for both styles.
There’s also a thoughtful privacy/control detail here: a seller’s email address is only shown on the checkout screen when both “Email: Arrange payment by email” and “Straight to checkout” are enabled. So the platform is opening up more buyer-friendly pathways without tossing seller control out the window.
What makes this especially impressive is the overall direction.
NamePros landers have always had a strong value proposition, but these updates push them further toward being serious sales infrastructure rather than just simple for-sale pages. More payment methods, better flow, more customization, and a more modern buyer journey make for a strong combination.
All in all, the landers are getting more flexible, more polished and more commerce-ready.
For domain sellers, that’s not just a nice update but rather the kind of upgrade that can quietly improve conversions while making the whole experience feel more professional from first click to final payment.
As someone who has had an account there since 2007 (my account is older than some of my readers, heh) and who uses the landers himself, I’m happy to see the ecosystem develop this way!
