I know that quite a few of my readers use UnstoppableDomains and the good news is that even after the increases, their prices will be quite a bit more generous than elsewhere.
Still, it’s worth keeping them in mind and adjusting your numbers accordingly.
First of all, as many if you know, they offered $5.99 dot com transfers and those are going away. Instead, a tiered system will be implemented, wherein you get 1,000 dot coms at $7.99, then another at $8.99, then as many as 45,000 at $9.99 and beyond that for all you degenerates, $10.99 each.
Note the $10.99 price tag, which is still BELOW the wholesale cost of a dot com (Verisign cost + ICANN fee + processing/misc fees).
That price tag will also apply to renewals, so Unstoppable will actually lose a bit of money on each domain you renew, which is quite rare… don’t think anyone offers this right now.
Moving on, many of you took advantage of $5 Fridays and later on $5.99 Fridays, with Domainer Club members receiving the discounts in question each day. Those are also going away. Instead, if you are NOT in the Domainer Club, you get up to 10 names daily at $7.49 each and for club members, you can register as many as 700 weekly at that price… also, people will be able to buy at $7.49 each day even if they are not in the Domainer Club, so not just on Friday. After you reach the limit, it’s $9.99 each for up to 45,000 domains.
Broadly speaking, that’s pretty much it.
They’ve recently worked on their backorder feature, which I will be playing around with, should be interesting! And a lot of cool stuff is also in the pipeline, for example API access, which has been requested a fair bit.
All in all, they will remain a company nobody can touch in terms of offers and I’m looking forward to making stuff happen in 2026 and beyond!
